Beaune International Film Festival Policier

This year I went to the Beaune International Film Festival Policier, together with fellow collector Rene. The main reason to visit this festival in the small, but nice pitoresque town in the middle Of France was to tributes to Kathy Bates (Misery, Titanic) and David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive). When we arrived in the town we went to the film festival inmediately for the tribute to David Lynch. When he arrived after we waited for 90 minutes, it became clear to us that we didn't have to wait very long. It appeared to be Kathy Bates who was also going to be present at the tribute, while she wasn't due to attend this one as well...
Academy Award winning actress Kathy Bates was really nice! When she arrived she came to us, talked to us a little bit and signed my filmcell of Titanic and my DVD-covers of Misery and Dolores Claibourne. She was also glad to take a picture with me! Great actress, lovely lady and it was a real pleasure to meet!
Academy Award nominated director David Lynch arrived for his tribute. He hesitated when I asked for a picture with him, but luckily he obliged. He also signed my DVD-cover of Blue Velvet and my Blu Ray-cover of Eraserhead.
It was a surprise when we saw that Frédéric Diefenthal (Taxi) arrived on the red carpet as well. I wasn't prepared to see him, but he was willing to pose for a picture.
These are a few pictures of the pitoresque town of Beaune.
There was a market were some antiques was sold.
There was a display of old police cars of the city of Beaune (Not the city of bones...). Probably this was linked to the the theme of the Film Festival (which was crime)
Obviously there were old churches and building enough... :-)
